For 20 years, Common Ground has been the pulse of local connection—powering our community through art, music, storytelling, hot meals, clothing, haircuts, and essential support services. A milestone this big can’t be contained in just one night, so we’re doubling down! Mark your calendars for two unforgettable, back-to-back anniversary events on October 3 and October 17.
So, what makes Common Ground the heart of our community? Here is a look at the dynamic work and life-changing services we’ve been proud to champion for two decades:
- Fighting Hunger & Restoring Dignity: In partnership with the Burrito Project, we provide fresh meals to our unhoused neighbors 4 times every week.
- Honoring Our Veterans: We offer free, specialized classes designed to support and uplift veterans in our community.
- Empowering the Next Generation: We enrich homeschool education with hands-on learning in engineering, culinary arts, sewing, podcasting, journalism and creative technology.
- Fostering Creativity & Expression: We bring low-cost art and music education to both children and adults, nurturing lifelong talents and self-expression.
- Providing Safe Havens for Recovery: We host weekly Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings, offering a stable space for healing and hope.
- Building Local Opportunity: We empower local entrepreneurs and workers by hosting weekly business networking groups every Tuesday.

Reserve your tickets ASAP for our very special 20th Anniversary event “Once Upon an Impact: An Intimate and Immersive Storytelling Gala.” You can reserve tickets or reserve a table (for 8) for Saturday, October 17th from 7pm to 9:30pm, limited seats available. This red-carpet event will include a dinner, a silent auction, a live auction, live music and some of our best stories.
